Draftory Studio is a web-based tool for organising and writing manuscripts. It lets you create and manage chapters, characters, locations, a timeline, plot threads, and a style guide, and export your work as a Word document, PDF, or EPUB. Some plans include AI-powered writing assistance features.

You must create an account to use Draftory Studio. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity under your account. You must be at least 16 years old to register.
The Muse plan is free for everyone, with no credit card required. Two optional paid plans add AI features:
All prices are in euros. KENKES-SKEDATI OÜ is currently VAT-exempt under Estonian law. If our VAT status changes, we will give you at least 30 days' advance notice before any tax is added to your subscription price, and you will have the right to cancel without penalty before the change takes effect.
The Muse plan is free and requires no payment. A paid subscription to Bard or Oracle begins on the date the first payment is processed and continues on a month-to-month or yearly basis depending on the option you selected at checkout.
You agree to pay the subscription fee shown at checkout for your selected plan and billing option. Your subscription automatically renews for the same billing cycle, and your designated payment method will be charged on the same calendar day of each billing period until you cancel.
If you wish to use a different payment method, you must update your payment details in advance or cancel before the next payment is due.
If you are a consumer in the European Union, you have the legal right to withdraw from your subscription within 14 days of your first payment, without giving a reason, and receive a full refund.
If you are outside the European Union, the 14-day right of withdrawal does not apply as a matter of law. However, as a courtesy we extend the same 14-day refund window to all users regardless of location.
To request a refund, email [email protected] within 14 days of your first payment. We will process the refund within 14 days of receiving your request. Refunds are issued to the original payment method.
We reserve the right to change subscription fees. We will provide at least 30 days' advance notice by email before any price change takes effect. If you do not accept the new price, you may cancel your subscription before the change takes effect and will not be charged at the new rate. Continued use of the service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the new price.
You may cancel your subscription at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing cycle. You continue to have full access through the remainder of the period you have paid for. All fees paid are non-refundable except where you exercise your right of withdrawal within 14 days of first payment as described in section 7.
If you cancel a paid subscription, your account reverts to the free Muse plan at the end of your billing period. Your manuscripts and all content remain fully accessible; only the paid AI features become unavailable, and they are restored if you resubscribe.

To cancel your subscription, go to Plans in your account settings and manage your subscription through the Stripe customer portal. To avoid being charged for the next billing period, cancel before your next renewal date. We recommend cancelling at least 24 hours in advance to allow time for processing.
You own everything you write. We do not claim any rights over your manuscripts or notes. We store your content solely to provide the service.
By using Draftory Studio, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to use, store, and display your content as necessary to provide the service. This licence does not give us any ownership rights over your content.
We take reasonable measures to protect your content, but we cannot guarantee against data loss. You are responsible for keeping backups of your work.
You may request permanent deletion of your account at any time from your Account settings. After submitting a deletion request, you will receive a confirmation email. Once confirmed, your account remains fully active for 30 days to give you time to export any work. At the end of this period, your account and all associated data, including manuscripts, characters, timeline entries, and usage history, are permanently and irreversibly deleted.
Any active subscription is cancelled at the time of confirmation. You may cancel the deletion request at any time during the 30-day window from your Account settings.
Certain plans include AI-powered features such as character extraction, chapter summarisation, spell check, and writing coach tools. These features use large language models to process your manuscript text and generate suggestions or analysis. AI-generated output is clearly presented as such within the app.
AI features are triggered manually by you. Nothing is processed automatically without your action. You should review all AI-generated output before acting on it. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or fitness of AI-generated suggestions.
Daily usage limits apply to AI features to ensure fair access. Current limits are shown in the in-app Allowance panel; the Tutorial explains how the limits work.
You may not use Draftory Studio to store or distribute illegal, harmful, or infringing content.
Enforcement of this policy is handled by our team and is not automated. When we receive abuse complaints, legal notices, or other credible signals of potential violations, a member of our team reviews the relevant account activity and content before any action is taken.
If we identify violations, we may take proportionate enforcement action, including warnings, content restriction or removal, temporary suspension, or permanent account termination. We will notify affected users unless prohibited by law.
Where required by law, or where necessary to prevent serious harm, we may preserve relevant records and report content or account information to appropriate authorities.
We aim for continuous availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law. Subject to that, our liability for service interruptions, data loss, or downtime is limited to the subscription fees paid by you in the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.
We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify you by email at least 30 days before significant changes take effect. If you do not accept the updated terms, you may close your account before the effective date and we will refund any prepaid fees covering the period after that date. Continued use of the service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the new terms.

If we cannot resolve a dispute directly, you may use the European Commission's Online Dispute Resolution platform at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr. Our email address for ODR purposes is [email protected].
These terms are governed by Estonian law. If you are a consumer resident in another EU member state, you also benefit from any mandatory consumer protection provisions of your country of residence that cannot be derogated from by agreement.
Disputes shall be resolved in Estonian courts, except that if you are a consumer in another EU member state you may also bring proceedings in the courts of your country of residence.
