Is it really free?
Yes. Reading is free forever, with no subscription and no credit card. Writing is free too on the Muse plan; if you ever want more, Muse+ adds the planning toolkit and Bard and Oracle add the AI tools, all optional.
Do I need an account?
No. Open a link and start reading right away. A free account just saves your notes and progress, signs them with your name automatically, and lets us match you with manuscripts in your favorite genres. It takes a moment and costs nothing.
Can I read on my phone?
Yes. The reading view works in any browser on any device, no app to install.
Do I have to finish what I start?
Never. Read at your own pace, mark something as "did not finish" any time, and there is no obligation to keep going.
What do I actually do as a reader?
Read manuscripts that match your genres and leave notes chapter by chapter, plus an overall comment at the end. That feedback goes straight to the writer and helps shape the book before it is published.
